Navigating High School
At the end of September, freshmen met with their school counselors to discuss important aspects of navigating high school, such as learning about graduation requirements, their GPA, Class Rank, importance of involvement, etc. Then freshmen and their parents are invited to make individual appointments with their counselor to sketch out a 4 Year Plan of high school classes based on their post-secondary career goals.
Course Selection for Next Year
Before Course Selection, students will hear from their teachers about course offerings during C^3 Day (Curriculum, College & Careers), and they are encouraged to talk with parents, siblings and teachers about possible course options.
Students will choose their classes through the Course Planner in SchooLinks. Please contact your child's counselor with any questions.

Career Exploration
Go to your wcusd200.org bookmarks and choose the SchooLinks log-in.
In February, counselors work with Juniors to further explore the world-of-work through a presentation and the SchooLinks online Career Exploration program. Students learn about the upcoming SAT, how to search for 2-year and 4-year programs (community college, trade school, university) and complete a grade-level appropriate lesson of their choosing. Students are encouraged to return to their SchooLinks portfolio frequently to complete more lessons and use the SchooLinks tools to prepare for life after high school.
