Rotary Youth Exchange Seeking Host Families

The Rotary Club of Woodstock was founded in 1968.  Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

One of the key programs for the club is Rotary Youth Exchange.  For nearly 50 years, the club has sponsored an inbound exchange student to bring a rewarding, international experience directly to our community while providing exchange students the opportunity to unlock their true potential.

Rotary Youth Exchange builds peace one young person at a time.  Students learn a new language, discover another culture, develop lifelong leadership skills, build lasting friendships with young people from around the world and truly become global citizens.

The Rotary Club of Woodstock is presently seeking three host families for the 2017-2018 academic year for our next exchange student scheduled to arrive in August.  Host families are to provide room and board and share their lives with exchange students, involving them in family, community and cultural activities.  All host families are screened and trained.
